I never knew how possible everything was until I discovered social networking. It’s crazy how keeping in contact with people you’ve known since high school, middle school, or even elementary school could change your perspective of what’s possible in life. I mean, who would have thought some of the most unattractive, Star Trek-loving “nerds” in high school would become the hottest humans alive, the smartest chick in school would have kids after graduation and never go to college, that one overweight chick would become skinny and healthier than you’d ever thought possible, or that ambitious girl that you thought would go far end up a party “woo girl” whose favorite hobbies are getting wasted, spending all her money on coke, and sleeping with strangers? People change and so do their circumstances, and it’s pretty damn amazing that we can all witness these changes through the Internet, in my opinion. Thank you social networking for allowing us to see that anything is possible.
I never pictured myself as someone that would get a matching tattoo, but while discussing tattoo ideas with my boyfriend one day, I simply said “we should just get avocado tattoos!” The next week, we went to House of Madness in Hampstead, MD, and Jason made our silly idea a reality.
Why avocados? We love them. We eat them all the time. We’re also vegans, and it was a way to celebrate that part of our lives as well. My boyfriend has the avocado with the seed in it, hence the “male,” while mine has the hole, or the “female.” We also placed it in a spot that would make our avocados match up while we are embracing, just to add to the “cuteness” of these tattoos.
